As you enter, you’ll be greeted by a welcoming hall which leads through to the lounge, equipped with comfortable sofas, a smart TV, and a picture window. Continue your journey into the stylish kitchen/diner with views over the garden. If you choose to dine in, you’ll find everything you need right here. Walk through the utility/boot room to the convenient ground-floor wet room. After dinner, retire to the snug with its sofas and warming wood burner or head to the games room with its pool table. Upstairs, three generously sized bedrooms await: a king-size, a zip-and-link twin room (which can be made up as a super-king-size upon request), and a double room. The tiled family bathroom is also on this floor. The house offers three outdoor areas: the front garden with established hedging, the side patio furnished with seating and a charcoal BBQ, and the attractive rear garden, mostly laid to lawn with trees, shrubs, plants, and panoramic views toward the Clwydian Mountains. This is a delightful space to savour afternoon tea at the table and chairs or enjoy the bubbling hot tub. The cottage is 2.5 miles from Holywell, famed for St Winefride’s Holy Well, one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. Enjoy a round of golf at Pennant Park (1.5 miles away), visit the local riding school or drive to the sandy beach at Prestatyn (8.5 miles). For walkers, this area is a paradise with the Wales Coast Path, the Pennant Walk, Offa’s Dyke, and the Clwydian Range nearby. You can also visit Mold (13.5 miles), home to a street market, annual food festival, and Theatr Clwyd. Don’t miss the historic town of Chester with its Roman walls and amphitheatre, or the Victorian splendour of Llandudno, both with 25 miles of home.

We recently spent a week at Nerse Farm Smithy and honestly, it was lovely. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a proper home away from home thanks to Clare & Dave’s thoughtful touches. Our two teenagers and dogs had a blast-the paddock was great for the dogs, giving them hours of fun. The gardens are really peaceful and perfect for relaxing, plus the hot tub was just what we needed after busy days. The location is fantastic with loads nearby. We’ll definitely be returning, it’s just perfect for us!

Wow, what a charming little cottage! It was super cosy and spotless, perfect for our family getaway. We treated our daughter, her husbandand the kids to a few days awayand everyone loved the hot tub-such a treat! Having Maccies just a couple of mins away was handy too. Our 6-year-old grandson, who’s autistic, had such a great time he cried in the car on the way home. We’re already planning to return next year!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! Its location close to the A55 made exploring nearby coastal towns super easy, but we also loved just chilling in the garden or inside when the weather turned. The forest nearby was perfect for dog walks. The hot tub was a real treatand the place was really spacious and well-kept. Definitely recommend!

Our first holiday with our little boy was great! The sunny weather helped, but the real highlight was the outside space and the comfy beds. Bess, our Collie, loved the enclosed field. Clare was super helpful throughout. We’re already planning to return!

Despite the terrible weather, we had an amazing week! The house was super well-stocked - baking trays, muffin tins, everything you'd need. The only thing missing was a set of scales or measuring cups. We took a trip to Chester, which has fantastic shopping and eateries, plus the Druiden pub nearby is a real gem - dog friendly and recently renovated. We enjoyed two great meals there and loved how welcoming the place was for our dog. Overall, a lovely stay with plenty to do despite the weather!

We had a really lovely stay at the cottage. It’s super spacious and feels just like home, with all the comforts you’d want. The paddock was perfect for our dog to run around freely, which she loved. The kids enjoyed the pool table and hot tub after a day out. It’s close enough to local eateries and entertainment spots. The only tiny downside was the noise from the nearby road, but it didn’t bother us much. Also, the dog policy is a bit limited-dogs can only be in the kitchen and porch, so she barked a bit the first night since she’s used to roaming freely indoors. Overall though, a great place!

We had such a great time! The place was super cosy and really comfortable, perfect for our family getaway. Our son, granddaughter, her boyfriendand even our 3 golden retrievers all loved it. The hot tub was a hit! Honestly, out of all the cottages we've stayed in, this one tops the list. Big thanks to Clare and Dave for being such lovely hosts. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a really lovely stay at this holiday home. The owners were super friendly and made us feel welcome with a lovely basket on arrival. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which was a nice touch. The hot tub was fantastic-kept at just the right temperature and well maintained. There are some great walks nearby, perfect for our dog, especially the big field next to the property. Plus, there’s a petrol station just down the road and some nice pubs a short drive away. Thanks for a great break!

The house was lovelyand the owner was super helpful. We loved the spacious bedrooms and the modern kitchen gear. Having two gardens and a field for the dogs was a real bonus. Absolutely fantastic stay, we’d come back for sure!
Emma
We had a lovely stay at this holiday home! It’s really spacious and perfect for a group, with a stylish and spotless interior. The kitchen surprised us - it was better equipped than most places we’ve stayed in. The location is excellent, close to woods and some stunning beaches, making it ideal for outdoor days. Only downside was the garden, which isn’t very dog-proof - the fencing has wide gaps and there's a busy road nearby, so we were a bit worried about our pup escaping. Still, a lovely spot overall!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this gorgeous house. Clare, the host, is genuinely welcoming and clearly cares about her guests' experience. The welcome pack was a lovely touchand the anniversary gift in the basket was so thoughtful. The grounds are perfect for dogs, really well maintainedand the hot tub was just what we needed after a long day. All amenities were spot on and made our break really comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway with all the home comforts.
Emma
We stayed in this gorgeous cottage and loved every bit of it! The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. The kitchen was well-stocked, perfect for cooking and games around the big table. Our dog had a blast running in the fenced fieldand snowball fights were a hit! Clare was so kind to send back something we left behind. We're already planning to come back later this year - can’t wait for another fantastic holiday!
