Luxury Lodge 46 Reviews

Nicola
Superb lodge! Was worried after reading some reviews but lodge was stunning spacious rooms and exceptionally clean, basic kitchen facilities but fine for a short stay. Grounds are stunning and all the staff on site very helpful. Hot tub was an amazing bonus such a lovely holiday we will defo be back soon.

We booked this property as a family break with our 4 month old. The property advertised a heated pool however upon arrival we discovered the pool was really cold and the baby was therefore unable to use the facilities which was very disappointing. The main building was lovely apart from this issue, staff were very accommodating and the decoration was beautiful. Our cabin was spacious and the rooms were nice, however and deep clean would make the property much nicer. The bathroom had a bad smell the whole holiday, the bedroom near the back door had mud on the carpet upon arrival and the property had many spiders throughout. The hot tub is a great addition to the room and looked clean. It would also be good to have more cooking facilities in the room.
We used to come to to this resort back when it was Dyserth Falls Resort and the new owners have done a lovely job of restoring the cabins to be more modern. Having access to the multiple bars, the restaurant and gymswim facilities was a lovely addition to our stay. The beds are super comfy and spacious, with the lovely addition of having a makeup table to get ready in the morning. It would absolutely be a five star stay but there were just those small things missing. The kitchenette truly is limited Combi Microwave no hob, so it was okay for a weekend as we brought food to heat up and then ate out one night at The New Inn 10 minute walk, but it would be difficult for a longer stay. There was also no tea towelkitchen rollcheese graterbottle opener just those little things that would really make this place perfect We will defiantly be returning

Absolutely beautiful! Definitely go back again

We had a fab stay at this property, was enough for what we needed, beds were ... We had a fab stay at this property, was enough for what we needed, beds were comfy, hot tub was great , robes and slippers provided , plenty of room for 4 , we had my 92 year old mum , lots of space for the wheelchair , A couple of little spiders but you back onto woodland so not a problem at all, Property could do with a table to put drinks on in living area , and maybe a table n chair or hooks outside for robes , The resort facilities are great, with indoor pool you can use when you want to , just let yourself in with a fob , the food was fab and the staff are lovely very helpful and attentive , there is a buggy that can transport you and your luggage to the lodge, We had a fab few days and would recommend it,
Rebecca
On arrival, we found staff helpful and friendly and this the same throughout our stay. When we reached our lodge, we were disappointed by the level of cleanliness. There was toothpaste spray on the en suite mirror, hair that had obviously been cleared from the shower and put in the bottom of the bin in the kitchen, without a bin bag, which therefore smelt whenever you opened the bin and meant we had to remove it ourselves. The lodge seemed lovely at first but could definitely have done with a deeper level of clean. There is a lack of storage in the lodges and felt it could do with some drawers or shelves to put things inon. The menu options were very similar in both the sports bar and the view restaurant, for example if you wanted the 2 course offer in the view, these were the same main menu options in the sports bar. Some other, healthier options would have also been great. There were some good offers mid week in the sports bar but we were really disappointed on the Thursday evening, when we were going to take advantage of the Thirsty Thursday offer in the cocktail lounge. We were told this was not on as there was a private function on and none of the other bars could do the offer, not what is expected when it's advertised and a number of people had asked the same. Use of the pool included each day was good, especially for the kids as there wasn't really anything else for them to do on site. Changing facilities are minimal and again, cleanliness not always at the expected level. We stayed for a week but felt a long weekend would have been enough. We felt we could see the potential for the venue but there are definitely some things that could be improved to really elevate it and help it reach it's potential.

Property was dirty, hot tub wasn't that clean.
Advertised as family child friendly but it's not made for children nothing for children to do on side no little park or play area. Outside area where hot tub is, is advertised as enclosed patio, it's not, it's open with one fence panel down the side, and it's only flagged where the hot tub is behind that and around is all bark and soil. Not safe for a child to be let out the back for fresh air my son had to be kept inside until we was ready and then we would have to leave the site to then keep him occupied. We received no robed or slippers for the hot tub and only realised on the last day when we seen fresh ones been dropped off for the next customers. Cleanliness was average, cobwebs in the corner or every room bugs within wardrobes. When paying this amount to stay somewhere like this you'd expect it to be immaculate.
Staff were excellent. Happy with location and accommodation. Will definitely return when complete.
We did not get the lodge that we payed for. We payed a higher rate going through sykes website than the resort charges to then be put into a resort owned lodge and not the private owned lodge advertised on your website. Our lodge was nice but the TV was faulty as the speakers didn't work properly, the combi oven advertised was juat a microwave with a combi setting, the were not kitchen untenaisils apart from basic spoons forks and knives, the hot tub was not even filled up to the no fill line, the shower tap fell off, the shower drain was blocked and leaked all over the front entrance one of our children slipt and fell in the water , we did not recieve an email as stated about the checkout in procedure. To many basic errors that were annoying for a lodge that was quite expensive compared to the rate that the resort usually charge. To be clear we booked lodge 46 and were given lodge 40.
