We stayed at this lovely retreat at the end of April and honestly, it’s such a gem! Jan and Glyn are truly fantastic hosts, making sure everything’s perfect and you feel really looked after. The place itself is super cosy, with breathtaking views that make relaxing a breeze. We loved unwinding in the hot tub, watching the dogs and chickens frolicking in the field - it really felt like paradise. The warm welcome we received made our trip extra special. Can’t recommend it enough for a peaceful getaway!

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Brynhyfryd Retreat last week. Jan and Glyn are genuinely warm and super helpful hosts, always ready to assist. The place was spotless and had all the essentials to make our stay relaxed and hassle-free. We discovered a brilliant wood-fired pizza van, Carlittos, in townand they now know exactly where Brynhyfryd is, since we had it delivered one night. There's so much to explore nearby, you really won't be bored. Big thanks to Jan and Glyn for making it special!
Emma
Wow, what a fantastic Christmas break! The retreat really had everything we needed; the owners clearly put a lot of thought into making it special. We loved the cosy touches, especially the little Christmas tree and homemade mince pies in the living area. The hot tub was a daily highlightand the logs for the fire kept us warm on chilly December nights. Jan and Glyn have created a truly lovely place, probably one of the best stays we've had. We’re already planning to come back in 2024!
Daniel

We stayed here for our first family holiday with our 4-month-old and also celebrated my 30th birthday - what a fantastic week! Jan & Glyn, the owners, were genuinely warm and made sure we had everything we needed, even some extras. The views are stunningand I particularly enjoyed star and plane spotting from the hot tub once our little one was asleep. We both agreed we’d love to come back someday - maybe without the kid next time, for a proper couples getaway. It was such a relaxing break, really much needed!
Laura

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! The peaceful setting was perfect for relaxingand the owners were genuinely friendly, greeting us and giving great local tips. The hot tub was a real treat after busy days outand the well-stocked kitchen made everything easy. The beds and sofas were super comfyand we loved seeing the cows and chickens around. The welcome pack was a nice touch too. Only downside is it’s not suitable for older kids, so we can’t come back next year. Still, highly recommend!

We recently stayed for three nights and honestly, it felt like a home away from home. The place was spotless and had everything we needed-kitchen stuff, towels, hairdryer, bathroom basics-and they even left us a lovely welcome basket with bread, milkand butter, which was such a nice touch. The hosts were incredibly friendly, making us feel really welcome from start to finish. The info folder and menus were super handy. And the hot tub? Absolutely divine, preheated and perfect for relaxing after a day out. We’d definitely come back!
James

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. The location is stunning, with panoramic views from every window - it truly looks even better in person! The place felt just like home, but with luxury touches like a cosy log burner and a hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Glynn and Jan were fantastic hosts, offering great tips on local spots to visit. Honestly, the only downside was having to leave - we didn’t want to go! Definitely a place we’d return to again someday.

We had a fantastic time staying here for four nights to celebrate my partner's 40th birthday. Glyn and Jan really made us feel at home, which was lovely. The views are absolutely stunningand the hot tub was such a bonus! Luckily, the weather was on our side. We enjoyed a walk into Ruthin, just half an hour away, plus explored other nearby spots easily. We’ll definitely come back, 10/10!
